The Blue-Green Algae Task Force is charged with identifying solutions to reduce the adverse impacts of blue-green algae. Because Basin Management Action Plans and other water quality restoration plans present a strong opportunity to affect water quality restoration and help reduce the occurrence and severity of harmful algal blooms, the Blue-Green Algae Task Force will convene to hear presentations on these restoration plans and existing policy framework for the prioritization of restoration projects. The task force will discuss options to enhance prioritization opportunities.

The registration link and meeting agenda are available at ProtectingFloridaTogether.gov

Public comment will be accepted during the meeting and can also be submitted via email to BlueGreenAlgaeTaskForce@FloridaDEP.gov.

This meeting will be broadcast by the Florida Channel.
