Diversity and Innovation in Screening and Prevention of Exposure over the Long-term (DISPEL) to Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) Research Study

1. How do Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) Impact Floridians?

Blue-green algal blooms in freshwater produce toxins that can have detrimental health effects.

2. What Question do We Want to Answer?

What are the short and long-term health effects of HABs exposure?

3. How Can You Help?

We need a group of community volunteers to be our local scientists by collecting environmental and biological samples.
