Meeting Of Interest - Monday, August 7th !

In an effort to show our FORCE members solidarity for the Rivers Coalition and make ourselves a positivepresence at public meetings presented by the SFWM (South Florida Water Management) or WRAC (Water Resource Advisory Commission), etc., we will start announcing them in our Newsletter! We encourage your attendance as a FORCE for change to Save Our River!

If you have never attended a public meeting as a group representative before, a little hint; It's very helpful to wear something that identifies your position, a Dirty River Dance Rally shirt, one of our wrist bands or buttons. Let them know we are there! Let them know we care!

The South Florida Water Management will be holding a Public Meeting at IRCC Chastain Campus, 2400 SE Salerno Road, Stuart, FL. It's part of the Accelera8 program, specifically concerning the C-44 (St. Lucie) Canal Reservoir/Stormwater Treatment preliminary design. SEE ATTACHMENT

Sea Grass Awareness Group supports Rivers Coalition

A bevy of beauties and water lovers all, came together to create a fundraising calendar 'a la the British film "Calendar Girls". YOU WANT THIS CALENDAR!

Support them and support us...

If you want to meet the Calendar Girls they will be unveiling (revealing?) their 2007 calendar in Vero Beach next Wednesday, August 9th at 5:00pm at the River House, 305 Acacia Road.

Calendars will be available for sale and I'm pretty sure they are serving wine and cheese. If you are interested in a car pool/caravan, Email me! I'm going!!

Port Salerno Seafood Festival Fundraiser

On January 27, 2007 we will jointly present the First Annual Port Salerno Seafood Festival! If you would like to join us, we meet every Monday at 5:30pm at Mariotta's Cafe at the Fish House Art Center in Port Salerno (next to FINZ).
